Installation and successful testing of the new GNT2500 diesel power station at Batumi Sea Port Ltd

In February 2025, a modern diesel power station of the GNT2500 brand (hereinafter referred to as the DES GNT2500), manufactured by the advanced company GENPOWER, Turkey, was installed and put into operation on the territory of Batumi Sea Port Ltd.

 The DES GNT2500 diesel power station, equipped with an automatic reserve switch-on system (ARAS) with a capacity of 2,500 kW, replaced the outdated PE-6M diesel power station with a capacity of 1,100 kW, manufactured in 1989.

 ∙ Stability of the generated voltage — the new DES ensures stable operation of all equipment and systems without voltage fluctuations.

 ∙ Automatic reserve activation system (ARAS) — in the event of an emergency shutdown of the main energy source, the backup source is automatically connected within 60 seconds, which guarantees uninterrupted operation of the enterprise.

 ∙ Modern diesel engine — equipped with electronic fuel distribution and heating, which significantly improves operational characteristics.

 ∙ Low noise level — the unit is much quieter than its predecessor, which reduces the impact on the production environment.
